Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Photo Recovery (“we”, “the App”) handles information when you use our Android application available on Google Play.
1. Overview
Photo Recovery is designed as a local-first tool. Core features — recovering deleted media, cleaning storage, tidying contacts, and the private vault — process files and contacts on your device. We do not operate a user account system and we do not upload your photos, videos, documents, or contacts to our servers.
2. Information we access on your device
Depending on the feature you use, the App may request permission to access:
- Photos, videos, audio, and files — to scan recycle / trash locations, preview items, restore files, and run cleaners.
- All files access (Android 11+) — when needed for deep restore of trash paths beyond standard media permissions.
- Contacts — only if you use Contacts Clean, to find duplicates, empty, or nameless entries and apply merge/delete actions you confirm.
Media imported into the Private Vault are stored in the App’s private storage and are not added to the system gallery. Your PIN is stored as a salted hash on device; we do not know your PIN.
3. Data we store locally
- App preferences (language, first-run flags)
- Daily points / quota counters for feature usage
- Local restore history metadata
- Vault PIN hash and vault files
These remain on your device and can be cleared by clearing app data or uninstalling.
4. Advertising
The App is free and may show ads (for example rewarded videos and interstitial ads) through Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads. Ad partners may collect device and advertising identifiers according to their own policies to serve and measure ads. You can learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy and manage ad preferences in your device settings where available.
5. Analytics & crash data
If crash or diagnostics SDKs are enabled by the platform or store distribution, limited technical data (such as device model, OS version, and crash stacks) may be processed to improve stability. We do not sell your personal information.
6. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Your choices
- You can deny or revoke permissions in Android system settings; some features will then be unavailable.
- You can clear app data or uninstall to remove locally stored preferences, history, and vault files.
- You can limit ad personalization through your Google account / device ad settings.
8. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
